📌 Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to manage end-to-end logistics and documentation for bulk commodities including Coking Coal, Coke, Thermal Coal, and Iron Ore. The role involves handling contracts, shipping, port operations, customs documentation, chartering, and post-shipment coordination for both domestic and international trade.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ Commercial & Contract Management
-
Preparation of offers and quotations for Coal, Coke, Coking Coal, and Iron Ore
-
Drafting and reviewing Sale Contracts and Purchase Contracts
-
Coordination with sellers and buyers on contract terms, LC conditions, BLs, and documentation requirements
2️⃣ Shipping, Chartering & Freight Operations
-
Arranging sea freight through brokers and vessel owners
-
Finalising Fixure Recaps and Charter Party Agreements with vessel owners
-
Coordinating with shipping agents for ETA, SOF, B/L, and voyage-related matters
-
Appointment of inspection agencies for COA (Certificate of Analysis)
3️⃣ Port & Stevedoring Operations
-
Finalising stevedoring contracts at respective ports
-
Coordination with port authorities, stevedores, and agents
-
Monitoring cargo loading and discharge operations
-
Laytime calculation at load port and discharge port
-
Finalisation of SOF (Statement of Facts) post vessel operations
4️⃣ Documentation & Compliance
-
Preparation and management of:
-
PD Bond
-
Bank Guarantee
-
Shipping Bills (Customs Filing)
-
Pre-shipment Analysis
-

Handling Shipper’s Declarations to vessel owners
-
Managing port-related and stevedoring payments
-
Preparation of Export Documents:
-
Commercial Invoice
-
Certificate of Origin (Coordination with Chamber of Commerce)
-
5️⃣ Post-Shipment & Buyer Coordination
-
Coordination with overseas buyers for:
-
BL Switch
-
Freight payments
-
LOI matters
-
ETA communication at discharge port
-
-
Post-discharge activities:
-
Collection of SOF
-
Final laytime settlement
-
Customs assessment and follow-up for return of PD Bond and Bank Guarantee
-
6️⃣ Import, Rail & Inland Logistics Coordination
-
Follow-up with discharge port agents on:
-
ETA
-
IGM filing
-
-
Coordination with CHA for:
-
Customs filing of Bill of Entry (BE)
-

Preparation and handling of EDRM documents for railway sanction and rake movements
7️⃣ Internal Coordination

Coordination with Accounts and Finance teams
-
Issuance of Delivery Orders post customs clearance
-
Ensuring smooth flow between commercial, logistics, finance, and operations teams
🎯 Candidate Profile

Strong experience in coal / bulk commodity logistics
